 Al Shaver, Pastor of Mountain View UMC We'd also like to invite you to join us in worship and fellowship. Bible study begins each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship service at 10:30. A nursery is available. We break bread together each Wednesday evening. Ongoing activities at Mountain View include our United Methodist Women's group which meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. We also have an active United Methodist Men's group, a wonderful choir that practices each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. In addition to our regular church groups and activities, we host the Woodcarvers the 2nd Saturday of each month, and First Nations First Saturdays Native American Social and Potluck the 1st Saturday of each month. The Mountain View UMC men's group will be preparing and serving a special breakfast for all the women of the churhc on Mother's Day, May 13th. Appalachian Spring Cooperative is selling specialty gift baskets this year. This cooperative, which is located in Sneedville, TN, is a mission project of the United Methodist Church. The goal of the project is to help the local people improve their income by making and selling these items. There is a brochure in the Narthex with all the details. |
